Aren't We Special...

While decorating the house for Christmas this year, Brinson and Cache got to experience something very special...

They got to drink this yummy Sparkling Grape Juice Cocktail from my very special Christmas wine glasses! They thought they were the most special kids for that small moment in time and you can see it...

By the look on their little faces and the glimmer in their little eyes!
It was fun to give them this special moment. They drank the whole bottle and they enjoyed every sweet drop of it!
A toast... to the happy little boys in my life! Oh, how I love them both and hold them in the clutches of my heart, entwined there for the remainder of my life!

Cache Turns 7!

Yesterday was Cache's 7th Birthday! I cannot believe that my littlest person is 7 now my, how time flies! He will be in college before I know it. It is bittersweet to say the least. I want my kids to grow and become whatever it is that they are supposed to be in this life, but at the same time, it is sad for me. They just grow up too fast!
We had a good day. We Bar-B-Qued hamburgers and I made homemade french fries. Chelsea made the cake and Grandma Jo brought the ice cream. Aunt Sheila and Uncle Tookie came with some little cookies that Aunt Sheila made. Papa, Grandma, Chelsea, Guy, Zaidyn, Aunt Sheila and Uncle Tookie all came over to eat dinner and have cake and ice cream with the Cache Man! It was a lot of fun!!

Grandma Jo let Zaiders play in the ice cream!

And what would a birthday be without the help of a big brother?

Happy Birthday my Sweet Son! I love you so incredibly much and I am so glad that God chose me to be your mom! I am the luckiest woman on the whole planet! I hope you had a WONDERFUL day!

Still Making Jewelry!!

I know, I know, I promised to write yesterday, I am truly sorry! I got so busy making all of these cool little trinkets for YOU! I didn't take time to post yesterday, I just kept plugging away at all of these little items...

And just look at my kitchen! I have no work space, so my kitchen table becomes just that, a place for me to work. Thank gosh we have the island! The boys can sit there and eat their meals, so it isn't SO bad. Here you go - take a look at this...

Bad huh? Oh well, the boys really don't seem to mind much. The island serves as a place to eat just fine.
I hope to see you at Country Christmas! I only have 2 more days and I am trying to whip out as many earrings and bracelets as I possibly can. I felt like there just weren't enough of these two items at the Kappa Kraft Fair, so I need to compensate for that.
Oh, and how did the Kappa Kraft Fair go you ask- well, not as well as I had hoped, but I am not a quitter! I am going to go to Country Christmas with a positive attitude (because I know that my jewelry and cards rock!) and hopefully accomplish selling some of my very cool creations. I believe that Country Christmas is the craft fair in which people are in the mood for Christmas and the Christmas Spirit takes hold of people's hearts and they rejoice in the homemade treasures that they can find there.
I am a firm believer in the fact that homemade is so much more fun to receive than the store bought items. I treasure every little thing that my children have made for me over the years. I have little snowmen made out of my youngest son's foot prints (too cute). I have a really cool heart magnet that has been on my refrigerator for about 3 years that my Brinny made for me, and I still have things that I treasure that my Chelly Bell made for me in her younger years. I even have a bench and some art work that grace my front entrance that she made with her own two hands! Oh yes, I love getting homemade gifts and I know that there are many others like me out there, so come by my booth and take a look. I dare you not to find something that you will fall in love with. Hope to see you there!

More to Come...

Hello everyone,
I have been SOOO busy preparing for the upcoming craft fairs that I have not had the time to post to my blog. I plan to return on Dec. 1st with news on how the first of three craft fairs went for me. I have never done a craft fair before, so I am hopeful that it will go well. I guess we will find out soon enough.
My family and I will be enjoying the wonderful Thanksgiving fare at my sister's house this year. I hope that all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Enjoy your friends and family and eat plenty of food. Have the leftovers for lunch on Friday!
I hope to see a few of you on Saturday at the fairgrounds in Powell. I will be there with my happy face selling my trinkets and cards to anyone that takes an interest. Have a wonderful Holiday and be sure to check back on December 1st for the news on how things went for me. Wish me luck!!
I will talk to you all again soon!

Another Look Back

In September 2007, I climbed. I didn't climb anything major or break any world records or anything, but I achieved something that I had been wanting to do, I climbed. I climbed the Island. Now, to those of you who are not familiar with Cody, Wyoming and the climbing done in this neck of the woods, the Island is a huge granite rock located by some tunnels that you have to drive through to get to Yellowstone Park from Cody. It has been a hot spot for climbers since the early 80's. My husband and his friend, Monty Madsen, and Kirt's little brother, Todd, just happened to be big in to climbing back then and Kirt and Monty are the ones that dubbed it 'The Island'. They came up with lots of cool names for the climbs in this area and the names have stuck over the years. The guys even have their names in BOOKS! Wow! now that is cool, especially in my world, being that I love to write and all. Anyway, here are some pictures of me climbing. I included some of my children climbing too. They loved it! Brinson took to it like a duck in water. I think he follows in his dad's footprints a lot, as you can see here...

Wow! he is way up there! I was a little nervous to say the least.

I was really glad to get this shot. It is Brinson on the way back down. This is about when my heart started beating again.

Before any of us could go, Todd climbed up and secured the rope so that none of us would fall.

He finally got to the top and now the fun could begin!

Cache took his shot too, he wasn't quite ready to go as high as his brother just yet, maybe next time.

And yes folks, you guessed it, this is my big debut as a beginner. It was a rush I do have to admit that.

Still going and loving every minute of it.

Look how far up I am!! It was awesome!

It was a great day with friends and family and we had a really good time! I can't wait to do it again.

The Jewelry Side of Things

Here are some of the jewelry pieces that will be featured at my booth at the craft fair. These items will be at the craft fair on November 28, 2009, but maybe not at the two craft fairs following that (with any luck). Pictured are some of my favorite pieces.

These two beauties top my list of favorites. The red necklace is just so stunning and the ribbon necklace with the stone and the dangles on the bottom is very fun. I can't wait to see someone with these on!

If you like metal, we have quite a few pieces for you. this one is beautiful!

The rings are just so incredibly fun to make! We have several to choose from.

This necklace is somewhat nostalgic. I love the blue and purple glass beads and the brass focal piece with the butterflies just tops it off.

This is a very fun mix of colors. The shell pendant is painted with a green and blue flower and the beads compliment it in just the perfect hue.

This wood bead necklace is perfect for the walk on the sandy shores. The flower shell pendant adds simple elegance.

These two pieces were made with Swarovski glass pearls and rondelles. They would be perfect with that evening dress you will be wearing to your Christmas event this year.
See anything you like? Dig out your calendars and mark them for the Saturday after Thanksgiving and come and see me at the Kappa Kreative Kraft fair, I will be there all day selling what you see here.
I hope to see you there.

More of the Goodies for the Craft Shows

Well, I promised to have more of my cards posted here for you to take a look at, so here are some of my favorites. Enjoy...

All of the above pictured cards will be available at the Kappa Kreative Kraft fair in Powell, WY on November 28, 2009. I would love to hear what you think of my creations so please feel free to post a comment. Do you think they will sell? I sure hope so, because I made a lot of these beauties.
I will be back tomorrow with my jewelry. Check in and you can see some of my other work.
